Dorothy Edwards, PH.D.
Dr. Edwards serves as chair of the Kinesiology Department in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she also holds appointments in Medicine and Neurology at the School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr Edwards is a Fellow of the Occupational Therapy Academy of Research. Her research has been funded by the National Institute on Aging, National Institute of Minority Health and Health Disparities, and National Institute of Neurologic Disease and Stroke.
Dr. Edwards’s research includes investigation into cognition after stroke, secondary prevention of stroke, functional performance and Alzheimer’s disease, health disparities of populations, and methods of increasing participation of minorities and underrepresented groups in clinical studies.
